Based in the UK, the Institute for the Management of Information Systems is the leading independent professional association for both users and developers of today's information technologies.
The IMIS Examination Syllabus, established in 1978 and unaffiliated with any vendor or industry body, leads to one of the most highly sought after and respected IS professional qualifications in over 50 countries around the world.
Course Details
At CTS College of Business and Computer Science, we offer the IMIS Diploma and Higher Diploma Level Programmes;
This leads to IMIS Licentiate Grade. It continues on from the Foundation Diploma level although access at this level is also available to candidates who comply with the entrance requirements. Completion of these examinations awards a Diploma Certificate.
This leads to IMIS Associate Grade. It extends and complements the Diploma Course to give students a comprehensive knowledge of the entire field of operations, programming, systems analysis and design, and computer management.
Academic Benefits

Persons completing the Higher Level IMIS Programme are eligable to switch over to Degree courses.

Persons completing the Diploma and Higher Diploma are granted U.K. Certificates for each stage of the programme. These Certificates / Diplomas can be used to obtain employment or for promotion in one's job.

Students completing the IMIS will have acquired a wide range of skills and will therefore be able to obtain employment in a variety of fields
Registration Details
CTS Registration

Students typically register at the beginning of each semester and there is a registration fee of TT$100.00.

Semester I [January to May] starts roughly in the third week of January.

Semester II [June to December] starts roughly in the third week of June.
Registration with IMIS
Closing date for registration and examination fees are posted on IMIS website however we usually assists students with the submission of all Registration and Examination Forms. The procedure requires students to complete their bank drafts with all examination and registration fees and submit this along with their completed registration and examination entry forms by mid March [Semester I] and mid September [Semester II] and we will assist in having these forms couriered to the examining body.
